That would vary greatly on the quality of the carpet you are buying .. and "medium sized bedrooms" doesn't really give me a measurement .. ( for example .. 10X12) . You could spend for carpet and padding on a smaller medium sized room (plus labor costs) .. between $350 to $650 PER ROOM. You don't say how long the hallway is . so I can't help you there. Hope this helps you a little bit ! Good Luck ! :)

As much as you are willing to spend. The cheapest of cheap carpeting can be purchased for less than $9 per yard. High end wool might cost as much as $90 per yard, ten times as much. There is every price in between.
There are also different prices for padding; the range might be $3 per yard to $10 per yard.
Installation rates vary: $3.50 to $5.00 per yard.
Then there is the expense removing old carpet, if any; maybe $2.50 per yard.
If extra workers have to come in to move heavy furniture, that costs more.
Four bedrooms 12' x 12' =576 sf. Add hall at 4' x 12' = 624 sf.
624 /9 yd/sf = 69.33 yards of carpet x (40 + 5 + 5 +3) = $3675 plus sales taxes plus the cost of dumping the old carpet (if any).
Figuring $40 for good quality nylon carpet, $5 for padding, $5 for installation and $3 for removal.

I just had the same question when I recarpeted recently and was told that the bedrooms don't necessarily have to match. I choose the same sandy beige in living room and dining room which are attached, up the stairs and into the hallway and the master bedroom and guest room. The other two bedrooms are different. One of my son's ...a teenager too... has a darker more caramel color (great choice) and the other a deep, deep plum (horrible, shows every piece of lint).

It really depends on the size of the room and the carpet you choose. Carpeting can cost anywhere from around $10/sq. yard to over $100/sq yard

Measure each room, length by width, add this together. Measure the hallway, length by width. If you don't know how to do the math, give these numbers to the sales person where you're going to be buying the carpet from anyway, they'll do the math

Depends on a lot of things...where you live, what padding you choose, what carpet you choose, etc.
I had my DR, LR, 4 BRs and a hallway done in a mid-priced carpet with good padding for about $6,000. I live in the Washington, DC area.

Depends on how much you want to spend!!! Carpet costs anywhere from $4.00 per sq. ft to $30 per sq. ft. It all depends on the material, color, texture, if it has stain guard, padding, etc. Shop around.
