I recently had a baby and have started working out again. I have bigger calves to begin with but they seem to be getting bigger. I have been walking about 4 miles 3 times a week and am also doing some sculpting exercises 3 times a week. I am getting smaller everywhere else except in my calves. They are huge! Help! How do I get smaller calves?

Well, the walking you are doing is causing your calves to get bigger. I suggest changing to biking either stationary or a real bike. This will decrease the weight on your calves and reduce the size while keeping them tone at the same time.

the only way to get smaller calves is to stop walking. On the other hand if you walk a lot you could tone the calves better

Stop running. Other exercises you can do are yoga or pilates or just something that is not based on working out your legs you can do great cardio without useing your legs...try doing some game like basketball or tennis instead

A good idea is to ride a bike! when you ride a bike you use your leg muscles so you should get smaller caves. Another good idea is to streach your leg muscles before doing any leg activities!

Try bicycling as it tends to decrease the calf size. Good Luck, I hope you can get what you want.
