you cant just expect push ups to do the trick.. you must start off little then work your way up. you can start off with about 30 pushups, 75-100 jumping jacks, 20-30 minutes of jogging...but first warm up..walk regularly for 5 minutes then walk faster for 5 more minutes then for the rest of the time start jogging not running. then lift dumb bells or weights

Pushups only have you working out with appproximately 60% of your body weight. It is far far better to use weights. Freeweights over machines, and dumbells over the bar.

There is a point where pushups will no longer build muscle as what they do is help you build lean muscle not help you bulk up. There comes a point where all you are doing is creating muscle endurance rather than increasing thier power.

Remember that push-up though they will increase size, they will not increase size like bench press or weights. It really depends on how big you want to get.

If you want to get really bigger, then weights are is your best bet.
