#2 Mouse is such an obvious choice for cat-food flavour that my guess is they tried it in the lab about 100 years ago (or whenever pre-prepared cat-food was first invented) and no cat would touch it.

#3 Even though "lock-less" doors would make logical sense, they wouldn't make fiscal sense since, as a specialty order item, they would cost far more than a regular door with locks.

#4 Simple. The Monopolies Commission has a monopoly on monopolies commissions. Rather apropos when you think about it.

"if airport security is so good, the building is referred to as "terminal"?"

Doesn't really give the history as to why they are called that, but it can be linked to the days of trains, when they were referred to as Train Terminals, and even Bus Terminals.

"do stores that open 24/7 have locks on the door?"

Apparently you have not seen or heard of security systems. In most convienance stores (as is evidence on such great TV video programs as, "The World's Stupidest Criminals") those doors are lockable at the simple press of a button behind the counter. (Gas Stations too)

So when a robbery occurs, the clerk can literally lock the criminal inside the store (most of them have a secured "cage" area for the employees to be safe behind) until the police arrive.

"can't you buy mouse flavoured cat food?"

Do you own a cat, and has your cat ever found a mouse? Of all the cats I have had as pets (at least 5 now) each one that has ever caught a mouse never ate it. They played with it. Mouse flavored cat food, therefore, would probably lead to your cats playing with their food rather than eating it.

"is there only one monopolies commission?"

Don't have an answer for this one. Just one of those governmental oxymorons that surface once in awhile.
