If a person has not eaten meat for over 20 years, will there be physical reactions to re-introduction of meat?

Should a peson expect loose bowels, constipation, energy bursts, stomach cramps or headaches? Should there be a slow reintroduction?

Yes, most definitely. It will take a little while for your body to get used digesting it again. Especially pork since it has more toxins in it than beef or chicken. Just take it slow and don't overload your system. Give it time to learn to digest it again.

I started eating meat again after about 12 years. I had small energy bursts but no real stomach problems. I took it slow, though. I think a slow reintroduction is a good idea.

I would think so. I quite eating it for 2 years, and the first time I tried it my body just wouldn't accept it and I ended up throwing it up. Try eating just a really small portion at first, like just a couple of bites. You might not even like the taste. I still can't eat hamburger meat - so I get ground steak.

Why would a person want to eat meat after all that time? My boss is a total vegan and just the smell of my food makes him want to hurl. There are plenty of other nutritional foods that have protein as well.

they may have an upset stomach ,but it would help introducing the meat in small incriments
