i have a friend who i have known for 11 years. we dated about ten years ago and decided to be friends. we lost contact, reunited. yada, yada yada.

recently he moved closer. we hang out have fun all that jazz. he tells me he loves me as a friend and i the same. i think he loves me more than what he is saying. how can i know for sure? is there a sure fire way of telling or am i just overanalyzing.

Why not invite him away for a weekend (or a night) or just invite him into a situation where you both have to sleep under the same roof (like a rock concert in another town and stay at a hotel). Then ask him if you need separate rooms, or should you go for a twin room (separate beds) or a double room (one bed). That would gie you an idea of his intentions and feelings.

You just know. The way he looks at you. How he acts sometimes at things you might say. You just know. Most times guys will not stay friends with a girl unless they are interested. Not all the time but most of the time.

You'll never know if you don't ask. Just ask him!

If you're not sure about how you truly feel about him, then wait until you can figure it out or not. If you want it to be more, than ask him. If not, then ask him anyways and say that you still want to be friends, but that you just don't like him that way. (Let him off easy...you know?)

That's my two cents.

the best way is to invite him to dinner and over dinner ask him if he would like to come back to your place and spend the night.

He will let you know right then and there how he feels about you and then you will have the answer.

just be sure you really want that answer before you ask the question, because once its asked... it can never be unasked.

You could just be blunt and ask him, its the only way your REALLY going to find out and until then your just going to think about it all the time so you might as well find out and get it over with. Good luck.
