When I was going through a divorce I had to call police on my ex-husband and now the officer that responded drives past my apt. daily-and has asked me out! He really creeps me out-and I'm kind of scared of him! He also has a wife and a newborn daughter! What a man-any suggestions? I feel like he is stalking me-but I don't know if anyone would believe me if I turned him in-I'm afraid it would start trouble for me.

Yes everyone-I have been very blunt and rude! He doesn't get it, this is why I'm so concerned!

First thing is first, you have to tell him you want him to leave you alone. After that you can either report him to his department or go to the county and/or state.

Being a retire officer I can tell you that most departments will not stand for this type of activity by any officer. Contact the officers superior and register a complaint. If the officer continues or "causes any problems" notify the governing body (city county or state). If nothing changes you are then in position to retain an attorney and file a law suite against the agency and government for failure to act and protect. DO NOT LET THIS CONTINUE>>>> It can be a dangerous situation.

Be careful about talking to the police at his precinct, as it's likely they'll band together. The Thin blue Line. I would shoot hidden video of him doing this, and try to hide a good microphone so you can hear him making these advances. When you have enough evidence, talk to City Hall and the newspapers, and give them copies of the tapes. Also, go to court and get a restraining order.
And get a gun. All the restraining orders in the world won't protect you from a rogue cop with a vendetta.
Good luck.

you're right it is trouble....

um... unsure how to handle this.. now if you had big connections like a friend who is a politician or even the sheriff...

know anyone who can control the police? mafia? higher ups who don't like the guy?

i'm sure he's done this before and he's got a reputation for it...

but i'm unsure how you can get out of this without going the 'other way' in the legal means...

maybe... just maybe.. do some investigating without being noticed.. keep it secret... find out more about this guy... what his name is if he's got a record... take pictures... find out what his wife's name is and where they live.. or where she works?

send corrupting videos and pictures (not anywhere reconisable) or find out things about him and print them out or obtain them.. and send them anonymously from another city or county.... ? to his family...

so on.

take your time.. but do be careful making a cop mad is like writing your obit.

i had a cop parking on my property every single friday-sunday... he was cheating on his wife... he would leave his cruiser on the property (i can't believe how stupid he was) and leaving with the other woman...

i went to a location far enough away from my property and took pictures and videos (this was back in the 80s) and did it every day he left his car there and met up with the female. i even got some nice shots of him kissing her and doing some public display stuff!

got a good shot of both of their faces then moved on.. i got pictures of the car the plates.. her car and plates.. then was lucky enough to find out where he lived... found that very same cruiser in a driveway just sitting there.. took pics of the house and the car and mailbox... so on..

i thought it was the other woman's house but no... it was the wife's!

i sent the pictures to the local police dept. they apparently got his rearend and caught him.. he had a prior record messing with others and it was a write up (not a very big one but big enough he he) local paper.. and he stopped.

so this is what i pay taxes for?

i wasn't the only one who did their investigations with this guy.. he was parking at churches, schools... and even an mcdonalds... just leaving the cruiser there.. what a drip!

ha ha.

What you should do is to find out how to get in touch with internal affairs.
They will investigate, and they will not show favoritism.
A lot of police officers hate perverts, civillian and cops.
A decent police officer does not like to serve along side of creepy cops, their lives sometimes depend on other cops.
Be discreet but report that dirt bag

get a good camra and take every pic of him that u can. everytime yall cross paths. that way u will have some evidence that he has been around more than what could just happen by chance or on a set patrol route. just make shure that you do it on your normal routine or place u would normaly be at. that way they can't turn the table and say ur the stalker.

I understand your concern, don't share this with just internet people. Tell people around you, ask them to watch you and him and ask them their opinion. Maybe he is testing you in a sick way. But whatever make sure you have enough -not all to close- witnesses. Police officers are well protected, and if they commit something, they just get a transfer. I know. Good luck!

That's what Internal Affairs is all about. File a complaint on the creep.

Are you sure he is not protecting you from maybe your Ex. and there could be others that he may be watching and it's in your area. I would just ask him nice to please leave you alone. Don't call him names or threaten him, just stay within the law and I am sure he will go away. Good Luck
