It means to let the host know if you will be attending the event. Either yes or no is generally expected unless otherwise stated on the invite. (i.e. it will sometimes say RSVP regrets only.)
RSVP is an acronym for Répondez s'il vous plaît, French for Respond please.

Like everyone else said, just let them know if you are comming to the shower or not.
A gift I love to give at a bridal shower is a basket that has his and her's towels, a bottle of chanpagne (sparkling cider if they do not drink) 2 champagne glasses with a bottle of bubble bath. A little risque but not offensive.
Have fun.

RSVP - It stands for Respond So Very Promptly. Basically, it just means that you should call the host and let them know if you will attend the bridal shower or if you will be unable to make it. This is so the host will have an accurate count of how many guests he or she can expect at the shower. It helps to know how many guests to expect when planning for favors, food, games, gifts, and other things.
Good gift could be a wedding album, candles, dishes- see if they have made a wedding registry. You can ask the host when you call to RSVP if the couple has registered, and where. It is easiest to take something simple to the bridal shower and leave the more expensive items to purchase as gifts at the wedding.

it really is considered rude to ask human beings to prewedding celebrations (esp. present giving celebrations) and not in any respect invite them to the important adventure. It creates the effect that you're in search of for presents. what you may want to do is have a submit wedding ceremony or submit honeymoon social gathering on your friends who you've been no longer waiting to ask yet needed to have a good time with. it truly is not any longer considered rude and it really is not any longer considered present grubbing because the social gathering isn't highly a present giving social gathering (there'll continually be those who convey presents, yet you're making it sparkling on the invitation devoid of stating presents that it really is a social gathering together with your friends--and certain there will be some overlap together with your wedding ceremony centred visitor record for this social gathering) all that being stated: do what you opt for to do. do not ignore that by skill of inviting human beings to a bath yet no longer the marriage you'd be putting your self up for embarassing circumstances the position human beings call and ask the position their invitation for the marriage is and then later rag on how grasping and selfish you've been for inviting a group of human beings to the bathe and yet no longer the marriage. Your perfect guess is to benefit a thanks to graciously say "no" or "i'm sorry we are having an intimate wedding ceremony with only kin". it would not count if intimate is 20 or 2000 human beings, in the adventure that they don't look to be getting an invite then it really is "an intimate wedding ceremony with only kin"

Let them know one way or the other if you will be attending and I take it from your needing advice on what to give you will be going.
When my daughters in-laws had her shower I didn't care what they thought of my gift, as part of it I gave her a pretty little thong...give her what you want, just don't be too naughty.

RSVP means call the host and say you'll be coming (or not). Ask where she's registered, and buy something off of the registry.
The bridal shower is not raunchy like the bachelorette party.

It means call and let her know if you're going to be there and how many people are coming (commonly, only the people who's names are on the invitation are invited, unless the invitation includes the words "and guest(s)". Only you can answer the present part.

RSVP - means "répondez s'il vous plaît" in french meaning please respond. If a date is given they want a reply either way by that day. usually to help with booking food and seating etc.
Bridal shower - try her registery for ideas - if not a nice basket of pampering stuff is good to help her relax or a gift certificate for a manicure or massage

It means to call and tell them you will be present, its so they can prepare for the amount of people that will attend.
She is probably registered somewhere. When you call ask where she is registered and then you can pick something from a list of things she requested.
Naughty is reserved for Bacheloret party

You tell them whether you can go or not, so they can determine how many people are "for sure'' coming. Get her nice lingerie nothing trashy, My family was present and I got alot of really pretty floor length gowns very nice at the same time very sexy!
