Maybe because some people can't spell English?
It's "accept", not "except".

French is the language of France and many other countries of the world. English as it currrently is, is in fact a language made up of a mixture of Latin, Old French, Old High German and Welsh!
It is not the most simple language in the world -
Cough, Borough, Bough, Through (unless you are American!)
I read today last week I read! I was Reading a book in Reading. I saw a can of Polish polish!
Need I go on?
English is the most widespread language in the world, but Mandarin has the most speakers nearly a third of the world is Chinese!
Spanish is very widespread, but only English and French are spoken on every continent in the world.
If you can speak French and English you may well find you can speak to more people as many people learn French as a second language in the world.
The French and the English have more of a love hate realationship than a hate hate relationship. Most cars in the UK are from France, more Brits live in France, work in France and holiday in France and vice versa.
British Culture and Music is popular in France.
and furthermore WHY should they ?
It is only the ignorance of Anglo Saxons in general that makes English the world language as you put it. English speakers expect the other nations to learn English to speak with them, but less than 10% of this world's population is a native English Speaker!!

Many do, I work in a french company and all our official communications are in English, though French is of course spoken in the office. This is not an unusual practice, I´d say 95% of all French business folks can deal in English. Normal people of other categories also like english though they do slightly resent the erosion of their language, which I think is totally reasonable, how would you feel if a foreign language started creeping into your society? In French, words like: parking, stop, OK, hard, weekend and on and on are daily use words!

because the french and the english hate each other. they always fought each other in meideval times and they both play rugby well. so the french refuse to accept english as one of the most popular languages, just as the english refuse to accept the fact that french is also a widely known language. so there

They don't ??? I think you're wrong...
English is NOT the #1 language in the world to start with....
But it is the International BUSINESS language.... simply because it is so simple to learn.... The English language was CREATED exactly to be SIMPLE... and so it is....
All French make business in English when needed...
That is a very untrue statement you made....

Worldwide, more people speak French than they do English. French colonization has spread French all over North Africa, Indo China, to name a few.

I am not sure what you mean. They understand the importance of English but they put their own language first in their own country, which is normal.
