come on u know the answers 2that.

i live in Liverpool & there's loads of them here. invariably they're nigerian or related to nigerians.
i suppose you would think that this is a racially motivated comment, of course it is, but i'm not racist: consider this, its a fact that there are more churches per square foot in nigeria than there are anywhere else in the world.

there is no tax on donations, these churches usually collect donations several times a day & they're open seven days a week and since most of them are also charities, for every pound they put in the government gives them a further 20sumthin' pence. how do they spend it?
giving it 2 god? i think not. I know a pastor who came here two years ago and now owns more than 20 FLATS in the liverpool area alone. His phone number is a manchester line and i know he has a a branch in the east end of London.

Have you heard about Gilbert Deya? That child trafficking ************* still has at least 5 busy operating, churches in liverpool alone which he got through peppercorn believe it or not!!

i feel so bad sometimes that God's name is being used like this. whether he exists or not what these ppl abusing people's misery by asking them 2 pay from the nothing they earn a week 2 feed their growing greed is just grossly unfair. & there's nothing anyone's doing about it

yes, good Pastors exist but there's a growing trend of business minded financial rapists taking advantage of what is a growing industry throughout many parts of africa, america and over the last 7 or more years, England too.

1) My husband is a pastor

2) He has a Master Degree yet makes about as much as a rural teacher.

3) Very few pastors make a lot of money unless you are talking about television preachers - in which case that is the question you need to ask.

4) Believe me, even if the job paid more, it would still not be enough. Pastors are on duty 24 hours a day--7 days a week. The phone rings all hours of the day or night, days off, vacation days etc. People expect pastors to be there to experience their families pain and grief, but if something goes wrong, the pastor is the first to be blamed for not doing enough.

If I had know what it would be like, the amount of stress and abuse he has experienced, God forgive me, I would have urged him toward another career choice.

As you Belong to God He does with you as he wishs, for his glory. (You belong to that which created you)
He loves you, and if you abide in him you will be rich( not like a playboy throwing money around, but in a way that gives you dignity, love and purity.)
