I am going on Work Experience next year and I need to find a place somewhere before all the places go in my area. My interests are computers and sports. Can anyone give any suggestions on where I can go.

Try writing to the I.T. Depts of local companies for computer work experience. Do you have any friends whose dad's work with computers maybe they could get you something.

I did work experience at a software development company which has its UK headquaters about a couple of miles from my home, and had a good time.

Although it depends if you are interested in 'doing' things with your computer or trying to sell them. I wouldn't recommend retail - often the jobs you get on Work Experience involve moving stock around and little else.

To be honest mate work experiance is a load of Bo****ks, i did it last year and i worked in a bank, many other people worked in shops, restruants and such, all you do is do crappy little jobs like make tea and other Bulls**t. If i was you choose your local cinema, my mate worked at the odeon cinema near us and he had a fab weekend, he said it was brill, his cousin did it aswell so thats how he found out about it. But to be honest i dont know what to recommend for computers and sports.

Well it depends where you live of course, but I would have thought writing to the leisure centres would be a good idea, and local businesses. NHS also encourage work experience so try your local hospitals.
