My old tv finally broke and I'm thinking about buying a HDTV. I have a Comcast cable setup.

Yes, al new HDTV have input for conventional wires.
RCA, S-video, Digital and HDTV are all available in new tv screens.

Yes, a new HDTV will work with anything that works with a standard TV. However, in order to really see HDTV programs you will have to subscribe to Comcast Digital Cable and request HDTV service. They will hook it up for you (be sure to ask for the HDMI connection). If you can put up an antenna, you could get broadcast HDTV over the air (new sets are required to have digital tuners, and any HDTV will have an HDTV tuner)>

Good answer gp4ts except the part about all HDTVs have an HD tuner. Dont want to see you make the mistake of gettng one based on that point even though i think they say only about 1 percent of all HDTv owners use the built in tuner. In order to get around the rule they just call it a monitor.
