Most likely if you put the wrong surname in yourself. Try calling Lastminute to find out their policy

You might not be able TO change the name. One of the many reasons you really should have gone through a travel agent. We are very careful verifying names and depending on the airfare and how it is booked it is possible the flight could have been voided to reissue under the correct name.

I know this doesn't really help you now, but there IS a good chance that no you can't change it and you might have problems at the airport with names not matching. Even if it is close, depends on who you encounter and also remember security on names is more strict than years ago.

All I can suggest is try to look for a lastmintue.com 800 # and call them, they may or may not be able to do something. Not sure, I don't book anything that way.

Good Luck to you!

Firstly, If the name is mis-spelt by three characters or less then you have nothing to worry about , even flying to the US. Thats a ruling by immigration.
Secondly your travel agent should change the ticket free of charge for you (unless the name change is also a passenger change, ie bob smith to betty smith cause you want your sister to travel instead of you)
If they try and charge you, Object and contact ABTA cause that is a breach of contract between you and the Travel Agent. If you Purchase a ticket they are obliged to make corrections to this so longs previosly said they are corrections and not voluntary changes.
Make sure if it needs to be changed, make sure this is done in plenty of time before travel as on the day the airline cannot legally make any changes to an unused travel agency booking as they can be sued. until the first sector of your journey is complete your agreement is with the Travel Agency NOT the airline. If your ticket is wrong on they day, they will make u buy a new ticket.

Also make be aware of what kind of ticket your travelling on, ie ETKT or Paper Ticket, cause if its a Paper Ticket and the agent haven't sent this to you...again the airline will make you buy a new ticket, cause as i said the agreement is between you and the agent, not the airline. If in doubt ask for a ticket number and ring the airline involved's reservations and ask them.

anyway. enjoy your trip.

btw i know this cause i work on the ticket desk for a major uk airline.

It depends on the airline and how far off the name is. If it is just a few letters off than it is not a big deal. If it is really wrong then you might have to pay. If it is within 24 hours of purchase they might not charge a fee. Call the people you bought it through or the airline

Yes, is the short answer. Are you talking about a mis-spelling or totally the wrong surname? A mis-seplling, if it is just one or two letters and you are not travelling to the USA can just be corrected (and really should be free) but if you have totally the wrong surname you will be charged.
