well the thing is, maybe not living with a Guy friend is wrong but satan will twist some things and maybe something might happen that wouldn't of if you were not living together, see the actual living together isn't bad just like a knife isn't bad, but if you use if for the wrong purpose there lies the sin.

You mean like a roommate?
Most Christians don't see anything wrong with that. As long as the "brother/sister"-type relationship is maintained, you should be fine.
If something more developes, it's time to make other living arrangements. That can be a serious financial burden for both parties.
Another problem you'll run into is "avoid the APPEARANCE of evil." You'll have some explaining to do, if people know you're a Christian, but think he's your boyfriend.
Many believers find that the "appearance of..." is too much to bother with. No one likes to have to explain themselves every time they turn around. And once a lease has been signed, or billings have been established, you run into the financial problems I mentioned.
Best thing to do is seriously pray about it. Talk to your pastor, & get confirmation or more instruction from ladies you trust.

The sin is sex outside of marriage, but it's probably just not a good idea to live alone with a man who is not your relative. It can lead to sin, and it can look bad. I know that looks aren't the most important things, but it's still better to guard against it. A sin, specifically? I'm not sure. Overall I think that it's just not a good idea.

I don't agree with some of these answers. I currently have a roommate that is a guy. There is and never will be anything going on between us. He knows and thinks that as well. It's not a sin because God knows we would never do anything sexual. My mind is pure about him living with me, so my conscience is clear.
Buy the way, he has a girlfriend, and she's a sweetie.

I'm not Christian but I'll answer from a reasonable Christian's pov. The sin isn't living with a man; the sin is pre-marital sex. You are advised not to live with a man, even if it's a guy friend, because you are more likely to be tempted to have sex with him.

The bible also says not to do anything which even has the "appearance" of evil. It is not proper for an unmarried Christian woman to be living in the same house with a man, even if they are "just friends".

You can do whatever it is that you wanna do. Most religions have not gotten with the times yet. God does not "say" you can't live with a man if you are not married. God is not going to condemn you for any choices in life that you make. He is all-loving & forgiving.

That depends on your cultre and mentality . you know prostitutes also live without marrige . By marriage people bring forth some lives without thier consent even . Those who bring them down to the world without thier consent , just for the sake of their litttle pelasure owe a duty to gie those lives an honouralbe life and plaxce in society . so a conformation to the norms of the society is required . Evn if jesus permits living with several men with or without marrige , you have to conform to the norms of the society you belong to or live in and be responsible to give a honourable status in society tothe lives you bring out in the course of your enjoyment without consent of the lives theat you produce.
So conform to the norms of the society you belong to ..

You cannot co exist in a home invironment with a man unless you are married to that man. Eventually you will cross paths as well as that line of sin of fornication. Why would you demean yourself as to put your self in that position.

You can live together as brother and sister as long as there is not a scandel because of it. (so people do not think here is a Christian living with this guy and they are not married and they do not know you are not having sex)
