From a christian point of view, is masturbating bad? who or why not?

See, no one can answer a simple question without bringing all sorts of irrelevant baggage to the table. What does masturbation have to do with breaking integrity with your S.O.??? Especially if your S.O. has kind of lost interest? For all I know, if I do NOT masturbate, maybe God will ask me at the Dreadful Day of Judgment why I did not keep all my talents in tip-top working order! Bottom line: Christianity is a religion of fear and repression. If you have to be religious, try a different religion - one that truly comprehends the nature of man and the nature of God.

One of the fruitages of the spirit is self-control. Better to learn it early and not be tempted to break your integrity to your marriage mate at some point in the future.
