That would depend on lots of things. Just a few being quantity, prior offenses, were weapons involved, where did the arrest take place, how good the offenders lawyer is, who the offender is. Some people get off easily, some get life.

There are many variables, does your state have a mandatory prison sentence? It can depend on the kind of drug, the amount, previous record, even which judge you get. I think that I would be talking to an attorney because you may be looking at a stiff sentence. Good luck!

This depends on what jurisdiction you are in, how much cocaine the person had, whether or not they have a prior criminal record, what the actual charge was (possession, possession with intent, distribution, distribution to a minor-the list goes on) There is not even the beginnings of enough information in your question to give a halfway intelligent answer to that.

There are many variables to consider such as amount of drug possessed. If the judge fought with his wife the night before, how competent the prosecuting attorney is his criminal history how good his lawyer is, could be a very long time.

In a lot of states, possession of cocain is a felony, no matter how small the amount. If intent to distribute was tacked on to that, this person could be facing serious jail/prison time.
