adopted my 4 month old kitten( I think he's really 6 months though) on September 16th. took him to my house down the basement then my friend took me and him back to his place. we have a big cat there, at first they growled at each other, 2 days later best of friends.I might get 2 keep my cat at my house as a Christmas present, will he feel upset or punished that he's not with his friend. what can I do to make my cat the happiest? they LOVE playing and laying wit each other but spend time apart too.will I need 2 get another cat 4 him if he moves 2 my house?

He will probably want a little friend. We have several cats and they all have their own personality, but for the most part they've got their little parties. I think we have only 1 cat who would be fine if she never had another playmate. She wants to be the attention hog of the house and have you all to herself. But the others play all day long and the most they seperate from their groups is occasionally to sleep.

I have two cats and when one goes to the vet the other one freaks. Goes around the apartment meowing for the other, some cats like people just need someone to hang with. Though if your going to get him an companion get them right away. Or he may get use to being by himself and not take well to the intrusion.

You have to find a new friend if his catfriend moves, like people even animals have to move on.

He may be lethargic and depressed. Two cats are always better than one!!
