I've been dying my hair the same color (blonde) for the past year and nothing bad happened. Recently, I decided it was time for a change and i dyed my hair really dark blonde to brown, and when i went to bed after dying it, it looked good. When I woke up my hair was tinted green. I dont know how it happened but I just want to fix it. Someone please give me some advice on what to do!!!!

I'm thinking the blonde you used had ash in it which can turn the color green. I would recommend a professional. I've actually had that happened and this is what I do, but my disclaimer is that I'm not recommending you do it, because your scalp is different than mine, and also you could experience allergic reactions. I mix about six ounces of 30 or 40 strength peroxide with about one ounce of Clairol Instant Whip Creme Hair Lightener. I put it on my hair for about fifteen minutes and it pulls out the green. A more gentle way to do it is to mix the concoction with shampoo and put it on your hair that way. But I still suggest you have a professional hair colorist do this because you've already dyed your hair a lot and you don't want to lose it or get blisters on your scalp. Or, go to Sally's Beauty Supply Shop (or one in your area) and ask them for advise. Good luck.

How To Fix Green Hair

I'm a stylist and I am here to help:
It sounds as if you picked up a color with an ash base which is where the green hue you are seeing came from. This should be very simple for you to tone to what you are looking for. Like a lady above said you are going to want to get a color with a bit of red in it. What you want to look for (please tell me you still have the box) is a matching level number, what that gives you is a way to make certain that the reddish color you get will not overpower the brunette and give you red hues. Look for a "warm dark blonde" or a "warm light brown" do not leave it on as long as you did the first color maybe like 10 --15 minutes. This will make certain that you don't do much damage and that you keep the color you like in there. Good Luck.

casca is right i am a hair dresser as well but i would recommend going to a salon and having someone fix it for because box color that you buy at a drug store or at wal-mart or where ever are the most horrible thing that anyone could have came up with bacause they do not have the base colors on the box they always use 20 volume devloper and you don't always need 20 vol. somethimes u need 10,30, or some times even 40 so i would go to a salon that would be your best bet! good luck!

Like the person above said, something with a hint of red will work well. Whatever color tint you get, make sure it does not have the word "ash" in it. Only use ash when your hair has a copper tint and you want to minimize that.

Ohhh no. Option 1: where leather clothes, body jewlery and...
Option 2: shave your head.
Option 3 Cut it kinda short and wait for it to grow.
If you use any kind of die, it must be black or very dark brown.
