Though not what most people would be into, my ex-boyfriend had a thing for eating fingernails. His own were stubs from the gnawing, so if one of my clean, long ones broke off (my nails are all natural), I'd give it to him and he'd eat it.
Most people will say "ewww", but it's your choice. My ex is over 30 now and has no ill side-effects that I can see of from chewing on nails for his entire life. Bon appetit and enjoy!

It depends on if you go barefoot a lot. You can pick up some unwanted microorganisms and/or fungus. In and of themselves, finger and toenails are not unhealthy. They are keratinized skin. But it is bad for the teeth.

that is disgusting. 1. if you have any sort of toe fungus, you will transfer it to your mouth. 2. chewing on anything that is not made to be chewed on(IE. it's not edible) will harm your teeth. You may not notice it right away, but it is hurting your teeth. and 3. it is not very pleasant to look at...and it will gross out the people around you. Act like a normal person and use toe-nail clippers. PLEASE.

It's just a habit like anyone else has habits--- except instead of chewing your fingernails, you are chewing your toenails.
You can pick up this "stop biting" stuff at a drug store and paint it on your nails, it makes it taste horrible. Try that.

Well no doubt it will increase your flexibility and dexterity. But not creating a clean cut could lead to ingrown nails and infections.
So it's a 50/50

Babies do it a lot and they seem fine...
If you are able to do it as an adult make sure your feet/toenails are clean.

Do it right after you take off your shoes, then you can lick between the toes for that added flavor.
