1. It was important because any written record actually preserves history alot better than orally. Can you imagine having all this history with no way to preserve it other than telling stories over time? It can change or worse, be lost.
2. It was used to record history, used for money and barter (trade) purposes, and etc.
3. It was written on a papyrus, which made from a plant.
4. Hieroglyphics use more symbols to depict meaning as we have alphabets that spell and sound and make up words that tell meaning.

why would you trust someone on the internet to do your homework for you? people can be very dishonest. i read the other answers, and the one person was way off. do not trust them. i think they are trying to get you in trouble at school. my advice is to do your own homework so that you trust the source of the material.

i can be like the other girl and tell u to do ur own homework but ill be honest id love to give u the answers but i have noooooo idea that stuffs to hard try yahoo search bar.. i wish i had access to the internet when i was in school i woulda had straight a's!!!
