No, because most muslims don't live in Mecca. It would cause a firestorm from every country on earth. Not to mention, the US would go down in the history books as a horrid nation, a destroyer of antiquities.
Most Muslims live in Indonesia and other parts of the world. THere is also a large population of them here in the US. If we nuked Mecca, they would surely rise up and strap bombs to themselves everywhere around the world.

No way. It would probably just increase it by about a hundred times. There are about 1400000000 muslims in the world, and all of them believe that Mecca is a holy city. How many people would you prefer mad at you, a few million or a quarter of the whole damn world? Try thinking next time.

Wow, you make about as much sense as George W. Bush.
Nuking Mecca would make things about 1.5 billion times worse than they already are because you'd be angering, provoking and disrespecting every muslim in the world and giving them a reason to hate you and commit terrorist attacks and other hate crimes against the people who did this to them. In other words, you'd be creating new terrorists.

That would make as much sense as the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor to keep us out of WW2. We would, at one stroke, become the most hated nation on Earth, lose every ally we have, and totally isolate ourselves from the rest of the world. The idea is insanity.

Honestly, I think it would only make it worse. Considering there are Muslims everywhere and they consider that to be their Holy Place. It would be like blowing up the Vatican... the Catholics would riot for sure.
