is there any way of selling it to a dealer now or is my only choice to sell is to some dumbass like myself?

Go back to the person who sold it to you and get the paperwork. You can't even junk it without the title.

Or, go to the DMV and apply for an abandoned title -- NOT a lost title as someone else recommended. There's a BIG difference! This will usually take a few months as the DMV will try to contact the person who has legal title to the vehicle. If that person releases the title, or if the DMV can't contact them after a period of time then they'll transfer title to you. Do keep in mind that if the legal owner says that the car is stolen, the cops will come knocking at your door.

yes, you screwed up. try to contact the last owner. ask if he has title. never buy a vehicle without proof of ownership. it might be really hard to find the owner. with out the proof of sell the dmv cant transfer it to you. but try to find another chump to sell it to.

The are some tow companies that can help you by getting a title from storage fees. You might find some help on craigslist in your area

u need to go to the dmv-department of motor vehicles for the state its licensed ,request file for lost title .of course if its stolen u are screwed
