Magnavox remote is trashed, was dropped into cup of tea. Trying the universal remote but so far no success with codes listed in the guide.

If you look for a universal made by Magnavox, you will have all the buttons working. I was lucky to find that & now all themenu buttons worked, where they didn't on the universal that didn't say the name of my TV. The codes are all in the enclosuer hat comes with the remote.

Yes,cuz my remote was lost to one of my tv's so I got a universal remote and it worked.Then recently I broke the remote to my tv a different one actually cable box it didn't work for that but my husband went and got a new one.

try the website for the universal - they might have a new code.
i've always had greatl uck with universal remotes - no problems
