there is this boy i really like. he tells all of MY friends that he likes me, but when he gets around HIS friends, he pretends like he doesnt care. he really makes me upset when he gets like that and i tried to talk to him about it. he said he was sorry, but he still does it! he even told his best friend yesterday that i was ugly! but then he told me that he really, really liked me. so, does he like me or not?

Errrrggg... DRAMA!!! Guys always act differently around their friends... its a macho thing. If he is too immature to realize a great girl like yourself is standing there RIGHT in front of him, and he has to dog it... then your better than that. Go find someone who will respect you. Even when he is around his friends.

he's just being how most guys are. He probably does like you but he don't want his friends making fun of him. Most guys not all are really worried about what there Friends think or would react if he starts be all lovey dovey with a girl he likes. He may be a sweetheart with you when you guys are alone but he wants to he tough and dominating around his Friends for the reason being that he's scared his friends may call him a pansy or just make fun of him for liking someone. What you should do is play the same role lets see how he likes it :) I'm not saying be a total jerk but prove to him that you are better than that and more mature if you have talked to him already about it and he still does it then maybe you need to stop giving him too much attention if you know what i mean?

Don't worry about it he like you. If he is acting one way towards you and another way with his friends thats just saying that he is immature and cares alot what is friends thnink. IF your really fed up with all of it tell him if he continues to do what he's doing that you will stop talking to him(no matter how much it may hurt you) Sometimes you got to let it go

Okay... boys are stupid, and if you keep that in mind, it explains alot of things they do.
He likes you, but just like Danny Zuko in Grease, it may not be cool with the guys he hangs out with to let them know. Guys tease other guys about being pussy whipped and other crude things. He is telling you he likes you, so he likes you. It may take him awhile to quit being stupid and actually ask you out, as he is still immature enough to worry about what his friends tease him about.
