Not on an unborn child but following the birth any male can be listed as a father on a birth certificate. You will need to sign agreeing to paterntiy. It can be disputed. Only a paternity test can actually prove who fathered a child.

Here in CA the law is - if you are not married to the mother, your name can only go on the birth certificate if you sign a statement of paternity admitting you are the father.

some thing that proves he's an undeserving father will be used hostile to him. in case you do not opt for him to have rights as a father, that would happen because his call isn't on the delivery certificate. My father wasn't there the day i became born. So he became denied any form of custody over me. If he couldn't look the day the toddler became born, he would not deserve it in any respect. besides the actual shown reality that there is an act that revolves round giving fathers their rights for connect custody. be confident to talk to a legal specialist about all of this. good success, you look an exceedingly determined mom.

You can only be on the birth certificate if you sign a paper saying you are agreeing that you are the father. But that also means if a DNA tests proves you aren't it doesn't matter.....that paper means more than the test. My fiancee signed it, but I wouldn't advise everyone too. Good Luck!

it could be, but I suggest you get a paternity test just in case. You do not want that child to grow up and figure out the wrong things on there own. They will end up hating you. But I sure hope no matter the result that you will be a good dad.

If you are not sure if you're the father you need to wait. I don't know what the law is in your state, but where I live if you're on the bc you are responsible for the child. And it may not be yours.

Do what you feel is right and if you are on there and yall are not married what will happen is they automatically put child support on you but in order for her to get it they have to do an automatic DNA testing and make sure you tell them that's what you want.

YEP.
Then Welfare will be in contact with you to garnish your wages.
Then you will have a paternity test done (at full cost to you)
and even if you are not the father, your name being on that certificate will make it very difficult for you to recoop any of your lost wages...

I mean wouldnt you want to be sure? Better safe than sorry, You could do that but i dont advise that you do that... later on in the future you dont want to turn around and regret doing it, just make sure so everybody can be sure
Hope you make the right choice
