i have problems with sony discs is there any round this problem.

DVD shrink dose-not work with Sony disc at all its the only disc that you Cannot work with.

i would not think that these programs are to blame for the compatability issues you are having with the sony discs - it will be that your writer is having the trouble.
go to your dvd writers web page and download the latest firmware and see if that helps
alternatively if the sony discs are +R try -R discs - even if your writer is dual format it will still have a better sucess rate with one or the other format discs - find the type best for you and stick to it

lots of different discs can cause problems, iv'e used dozens of different brands, the only ones iv'e found that work well on all machines for all purposes are INFINITI brand.

Tevion discs are what i use dvd + r/rw and there cd r / rw
