sit and color with her, get out the pots and pans and let her make noise. she's just little, she will not break. sing with her, ask her parents if she has a favorite movie. Will it be her bed time? Make sure the parents leave contact #s and leave any special instructions. Try to interact and get th baby interested in something before the parents leave, this will help when they go, she'll already be having fun. Good luck

my daughter was small like that up until bout 6 months ago.smallness doesnt have anything to do with how to take care of a 2 yr old.big or short just treat them the same way that you would usually treat a 2 yr old.all you need to do is just play with her, read stories to her,if shes going thru the potty trainng stage just keep on asking her every 30 minutes or so if she needs to go potty and go in there with her and make sure she does okay(well keep her away from the toilet playing in it or throwing stuff in it.2 yr olds are famous about doing that)draw with her, give her a bath(if she needs one.just make sure you dont leave her sight when you do)also watch her climbing on stuff(toddlers loves to climb on anything).also watch the breakable stuff toddlers loves playing with those for some odd reason....lol.and watch the TV remote they love hiding those from you too.hope this helps you out hun.good luck tonight.

Look, just sit with her - read her books, and play goofy games with her. If you sit with her and read to her long enough, she'll probably sleep the whole time you're there.
Remember, she's 2! She's probably going to get on your nerves a bit - but she's cute, and she doesn't know any better - so take it really easy with her.
If she's happy, or asleep when her parents get hom - then you'll be happy, and you'll be asked to babysit again!
Good luck!

Play.... you both will have a ton of fun if you get down to her level and play. Also if you are watching her at your home, get down to her eye level prior to her arrival & see if there are dangers, open stairway, plugs w/o covers etc. Keep all doors shut (beedroom bath etc. and keep outside doors locked that age they are getting to b good escape artists.Stay with her at all times and get some juice/ milk cups ready & snacks. Lastly if all else fails turn on cartoons for a bit. Good Luck, I am sure you will do fine!

Don't let her burn down the house ;)
keep her contained to where you can watch her constantly. Try and keep her busy with something besides TV - and have fun. Ask the parents if they have a note or anything that will help yoiu along the way - good luck!

Ask her parents for the baby's schedule or routine, so you know what she is use to. Try to stick to the schedule and just have fun, stay off the phone and computer, she'll be a handful. Good luck.

JUST WATCH HER CLOSELY LIKE YOU WOULD DO ANY YOUNG CHILD. NEVER LEAVE HER UNATTENDED. IF SHE'S WALKING BE SURE THE TOILET LID IS CLOSED OR THE BATHROOM DOOR. DO NOT HAVE ANY WATER IN BUCKETS IN OR AROUND THE HOUSE. BE SURE THAT THERE IS NOTHING THAT SHE CAN PUT INTO HER MOUTH, SUCH AS OBJECTS ON THE FLOOR, ELECTRICAL CORDS. BE SURE THAT THERE IS NOTHING THAT SHE CAN PULL OVER ON HER BECAUSE SHE CAN BE CRUSHED. DO NOT PUT HER ON A BED OR CHAIR AND LEAVE HER BECAUSE SHE COULD FALL. HOPE THIS HELP YOU WITH YOUR BABYSITTING.

fist of all make sure you play with her at least 45min. that way the rest of the time she is going to be at sleep and then she won't cry.
if she doesn't want to sleep then give her some healthy food and some juice and then sat with her to watch some TV. Don't give her candy!

Get her schedule from her parents. Make the evening all about her, playing, etc. Ask if she has any special or paticular needs or routines. You will be fine!
