I go Mysticing about once a week, here are my tips:
1) Exfolitate the day you are going to Mystic. That way the Mystic hits fresh skin. (And keeps you from getting blotchy.)
2) Wherever you choose to go, have the girl show you how to use the booth. It will make it a WHOLE lot easier. Some places even have a video for you to watch.
3) Make sure you use the hairnet. You don't want orange hair.
4) Make sure you put barrier creme on your hands and inbetween your toes. (You don't want blotches.)
5) When the Mystic spray starts hold your breath. It only takes about 30 seconds per side.
6) Use some kind of lotion that has sunless tanner in it to keep the color (there are all sorts of kinds on the market).
7) MAKE SURE you do this at least 2 days before the wedding (but not more than 4 before, otherwise you will start to fade). In my experience you can still smell Mystic on you the day after you go. If you are really paranoid about this ask about a product called "Mystic Fresh". http://www.mystictan.com/collection/
It will kill the smell of the Mystic developing on your skin. It's AWESOME.
....As for looking for a place that offers it, it really depends on where you are. I live in STL and go to a chain called The Tan Co. There might be one in your area. Check the website: http://www.thetanco.com/tcLocations.asp?Dept_ID=0&NavButton=04&Main=Y
Just make sure you get the Real Mystic and not a generic kind.

Congrats !!! An if you wanted you could actually do the Mystic Tan the day of your wedding , it does not make you all orange & scary !! it give you a very nice Layer of Tan , most tanning salons have them now a days. You just need to make sure you are 100% Dry from that Tan before you put Anything on your body !

Porcelain white skin is quite pretty. Why do you want a tan? I would have started gradually practicing with different products weeks ago. Now you are risking having a mis-hap that you won't be able to solve before the wedding! Go in the skin your in!

I dont think tanning is good for anyone- but i think if you are going to go tan- do it about a few days or even a week before so that if the color is too dark it has time to sink it and even itself out or if it rubs, it wont rub on your outfit/dress..

Do you mean like a spray on tan? I would just pick one out of the phone book and call and ask them for their suggestions. Congrats on getting married!

You really REALLY should have done it a few months beforehand to see how it turns out on you...
it looks different on everyone.
But if you're going to do it, you want it about 3 days beforehand.
