Yeast infections are fungal and that is why the antibiotics do not work. You need anti fungal medication. Antibiotic are for infections that are not fungal in nature. Antibiotics also destroy good and bad germs in the body, thus creating yeast infections.
Definitely add some plain yogurt to her food at every meal. Two or three heaping tablespoons. Yeast infections are one of the most problematic problems for dog owners as treatment by veterinarians is usually unsuccessful.
There is a lot you can do to help your dog overcome the yeast infections. Go to:

Something that works with humans is to eat more yogurt with live cultures (it will say on the package). A yeast infection is actually an absence of the good bacterias that combat yeast, and yogurt contains a lot of them. If your dog can tolerate a little yogurt everyday, it might help to prevent the problem.

Your dog has an allergy to Yeast. Try feeding food with out meal and corn. Just because the food came from the Vet doesn't mean that it is the best for your dog. Vets get insentives to sell certain brand of food. One size does not fit all. You can also give childrens allergy medication. Half the dose. Try changing the food, no people food, no treats, and try allergy meds.

when you're treating your yeast infections, and your husband isn't, you would properly be passing it backward and forward. adult men can get yeast infections, yet they don't continuously tutor the indicators. also, ordinary yeast infections are a symptom of different issues which comprise diabetes. you may want to elect to envision including your clinical specialist to be particular.

Check with you vet before giving ANY allergy medications! Your vet could put your pet through extensive allergy testing that can be costly but worth it. The only human allergy medication that is safe is benedryl 1mg. per pound.
