Speak with most anyone who is active in the Episcopal congregation you wish to attend. They can get you in touch with the appropriate clergy to see what their requirements are for full formal membership that is recognized by the espiscopacy of that organization. That is what I assume that you seek from your question.

It would be nice, but probably not necessary, to have a kind correspondence with a leader in your Lutheran congregation to explain why you are changing membership, but that's up to you.

May God bless you and bring blessings through you to any community in which you find yourself.

Below is a link to membership requirements for a particular Episcopal congregation. Perhaps you will find some insight there. It looks pretty simple from the record-keeping angle.

I don't believe you can, your baptism and confirmation makes you a Lutheran for life, you can join all the denominations you want but you will still be a Lutheran, this is what happens when parents do not give there children a choice before they are baptized and confirmed, being baptized at birth only benefits the religion you have been baptized in, your parents and the church have taken away your right to chose, this would be just one of the choices you would make when you become an adult, and to me that is a tragedy most parents make today.

When I converted to Catholicism, I showed my baptism certificate, The paperwork will depend on the doctrine of church and what they accept.
I would assume your Episcopalion can give you advise on your situation.

That's like going from scotch to whiskey. Just serve God by being a good person and stay out of those religious cults.
