the choice to get an abortion falls on just the woman or the man too? Do you think a man has a say so in whether or not a woman gets an abortion?

This is a topic that I'll probably get a few people upset about. Looking at nature, for the most part the woman is the care taker and therefore has the ultimate responsibility. Yes I know there are some species out there that share in rasing the young and a vary few where the male takes it on, but the majority favors the female. This responsibility isn't just in birthing, but also goes as far as the yougesters already born. I'm sure many have heard of animals rejecting their young, even destroying them. Is this just a cruel truth, or perhaps something we need to learn lessons from.

I just heard a statistic that most children born to mothers who should have either not had them or adoptd them out have the highest incidence for criminal behavior. Hum... Maybe if more women actually took responsibility for their own actions abortion wouldn't even be an issue. Ladies who fool around without even considering that their body is made to produce children are just looking for trouble.

I find it facinating that we'll preach to the skys about getting our pets fixed, but can't even control ourselves.

Does the guy have any say if you say no to sex? Now that's one to ponder ladies. Don't even tell me you can't say no. Even my friends who are very hormonally imbalanced have said no.

I say learn from wild animals, females will always take this responsibility in the wild. They are not always the one to actually kill, but more often than not they won't protect a youngster that they don't want. They intuitively know when the time is right to nurture and when a child is better off not existing. Ladies, when did we stop claiming this responsibility as our own birthright?

Abortion is awful, first and foremost. But if it is a question or an option to someone, I think that the father should have some say. Yes, it is the woman who has to care and carry this baby but the father has rights too. He may have made a one time quick contribution, but not all guys who copulate are deadbeats. Give the father a chance to talk it over with the woman. Nine times out of ten the woman will do what she wants but sometimes a man's reaction may surprise.

To be honest with you, being a woman I feel as if men don't have a say in weather or not a woman can have an abortion or not. They can let their feelings be known and express them to you, but in the end it's the woman's decission on weather or not she gets an abortion. After all it is her body and not the mans body. Just like it's a mans decission on weather or not he has a vesectomy or not, a woman can voice her opinion, but in the end it's the mans decission.

I'm sitting on the fence about that one. Ultinately I think it all falls on the woman, but I think that she would be less of a woman if she didn't at least give it a lot of thought (about how he feels and what he wants). More than likely, the child always remains in the custody of the mother, but if he is a good man and you feel that you "know" he will do the right thing for your child, then you should at least give it some thought.

I think the mans opinion can really change the woman's mind in doing it or not. Let me tell you why i say this my brother's girlfriend who he lives with got pregnant and she wanted it but he didnt. He told her to have an abortion and she didnt want to till my brother insisted so much she agreed to do it she said she didnt want a baby with him not wanting it. But when they were on the way over there something changed his mind and he told her lets have the baby. Now my niece is one 14 months old very beutiful and im so happy he changed is mind. But it goes to show that both man and woman can influence the decision.

I think its the womans choice. She will be the one carrying it around for 9mts and if she dont want the bay its best to abort it rather than taking drugs and harming a child that has no say in what goes on

I want to say yes but a women is the one who normally gets the child and raises them men can say they will take the child and be responsible but they can and often do change there minds than the women is saddle w/ the decision to raise a child they didn't want in the 1st place or have there own flesh and blood in someone Else's hands
Adoption is the best option but not all women can carry a child for 9 months and give it away

Depends on the situation really but overall it comes down to the woman's choice because after all...it is her body.

No, not really. It's normally the Womans decision, as she is the one who will have the lifelong commitment, many men disappear when the going gets tough.
