There are often questions on here about bizarre little habits kids around eight years old do (seeming compulsive about mentally coloring traffic signs, smelling everything, etc.). Please list any odd little habits you know of that a perfectly normal child of six to nine years of age has done as part of a phase. (Day-to-day, stupid-seeming, little habits that the child seems to constantly be doing, things that could look a little bit like OCD to the person who doesn't know children very well).

I have an eight year old daughter with these little quirks. She is VERY picky about what she eats. Refuses ANYTHING with cheese, will not let her foods touch on a plate, will not eat her dessert with the same fork or spoon in which she ate her dinner, and LITERALLY throws up if she doesn't like the way something smells. Needless to say, we have had major issues in school over this.(because of the cafeteria and her teachers breath)LOL(it's true)She now, as a result has been diagnosed with OCD. I also have been called a perfectionist when it comes to cleaning.I am not and my house is actually a disaster area with 5 children. And I will be the first to admit that I do not clean everyday, but when I do start to clean my house I can't seem to stop. This however has made we wonder, Does every perfectionist simply have OCD?LOL...LOL
