Not the world traveller here but I believe its going to depend on where you are travelling to... if its their busy season, it may be more than when its not... for instance, "springtime in Paris"- rates are higher than usual...

Typically the fares are lower in the "off season." This means that prices go up during summer (when most people want to take vacations) and during holidays. January (except right around New Years) and early December are usually cheap times to travel, but then you might have to deal with lousy weather depending on where you're going.

Ummm where are you traveling to? And right now since gas prices have gone down so have plane tickets...so it depends on where your going and when
