Go to the vet. Get a pest control company to come in and spray your house. Wash anything the cat sleeps on. Vacuum frequently.

ive had experience with fleas but not on cats. what i did when my dog got them: i gave him a really good bath with flea & tick shampoo, leaving it on longer than the label suggested... for about 10 minutes. i rinsed him off and dried him. then later that day i put the medicine on his back. the kind i used was hartz, its in a little tube that you squeeze and apply the treatment to the animals back along their spine. there is also powder that you can apply directly to your pet our furniture/carpet. and there are sprays you can use on the furniture too. check out your pet store for some of this stuff, but definetly get the treatment. it comes in a 3-month (once a month) pack.

the key to controlling fleas is to make sure you treat the entire habitat where your cat lives(inside or out or both)after dipping or bathing, use drops made for cats that continue to work for at least 30 days.and then treat house inside and out thoroughly!!the fleas can transmit diseases etc,so it's important to get them under control!some humans are allergic to flea bites also.good luck!

Ok, well fleas will not survive on humans, they might jump on u and bite u causing u to itch, but will not survive. If you've given her flea dips and it's not workin i suggest you call your vet and ask for something, they have all of the good stuff there. Good luck to u!

Take your cat to the vet and call a pest control company. You want to nip this problem in the bud before it get out of control. Once they have infested your house they are hard and expensive to get rid of.

take you cat to the vet and bomb the house (flea bombs). do it while the cat is at the vet.

if they bite you, calamine lotion helps as does the benedryl cream. but no dieseases or anything - at least none that i've known.

to prevent them in the future use advantage or frontline. keeping your cats indoors will also prevent it, i have 2 indoor cats and haven't had to use anything to prevent fleas. also indoor cats live longer.

Go to your vet and pick up some Advantage, that is what I use on both of mine and they don't have any problems at all
