I like my friend, Joseph. He used to save seats, smile at me, talk to me often... But I didn't want to count my chickens before they hatched, and after I told my best friends about him, they insisted I told him. I told them that I wanted to wait, and just flirt with him a bit, but my friends said that they would just talk to him about me, and see what his response was and all. I was a bit skeptical about this, plus they never saw him often. However, yesterday, my friend told me she'd ask one of Joseph's best friends, Herb, to ask him "casually" if he liked me. I thought about it, and then said no, but then she didn't listen and just said she would do it, without the minimum consideration for my feelings! So today at school, Joseph wasn't looking around for me. He seemed like he didn't want to speak to me during PE, and he had already said he didn't like me ot Herb. So this other guy asks him if he was lying. "No, I, erm, like/date someone else...kinda." He said. Help!!! What can I do?

PLEASE help...serious answers only! I really like (or at least used to) him!!!!!!!! I can't see myself going out with anyone else but him, and he says he likes this other girl who lives in another state, and she likes him also! Joseph is such a good friend, and he told me he didn't like anyone or didn't really go out with anyone JUST YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you are / were good friends just go up to him and tell him that the whole "do you like me" thing was not your idea, but just your freinds horsing around. Just ask "no hard feelings?" shake on it and keep stepping. Minor miscommunications / misunderstandings cause more major issues than necessary.

Maybe you should kind of talk to him, as though you don't know what's going on! Act like it wasn't true, and be cool with him. He will then wonder if it was true, but won't be so sure!

boys can be pretty dump and confusing it sounds like he like u but just dosen't want to admit it for whatever crazy reason he may have just take it easy he'll come around
