Toys for tots (3-5 yr. olds), Local churches adopt families at Christmas time, there are plenty of food give aways at Christmas but toys are alittle harder to come by. Wal-mart's offers an angel tree every year where a customer can purchase a toy for a child. Carl's coats for kids for winter coats. If you begin now searching Goodwill and department stores for clearance items or sale items you can accumulate enough before Christmas. God ALWAYS sees our need, express gratitude for what you do have and do the footwork for what you still need.

Are you a member of a church? If so, you may want to notify the pastor/minister of your needs.

Also, if there is a Good Neighbors in your neighborhood or city, you may want to call them as well.

Check with the local United Way chapter and maybe Catholic Charities.

Be advised, these groups share lists with each other. The organizers want to be sure that the donations are shared amongst as many as possible. So, if you are already receiving gifts, etc. from one organization, you may be limited.

Most Wal-Mart stores do that and churches adopt families. There could be lots of organizations in your area who do, though often they simply do it through the Salvation Army.

Search for non-profits in your area and find out if they have a program.
