Over the past month I keep waking up screaming because I have seen people looking over us when we are asleep. What does it mean?

That happens to a lot of people, and it is as answered previously to do with stress, the brain sort of runs things over when sleeping and categorises deals with all the thoughts, kind of like fragmentation on a hard disk drive I suppose. There is a legend of something similar happening and sometimes a slight weight is experienced as well, or feeling drawn out of the bed, " It's known as the old hag" and has been around for centuries, so there was stress back then as well. Might be worth re arranging the bedroom if you can, try shifting the bed to a different wall or position, sometimes that helps.

Something must be bothering you in your life, or possibly an unresolved issue from earlier in your life, which has been triggered. Your subconscious is telling you to deal with it. So if you're stressed about something, once you resolve it, the nightmares should stop. If it's something buried in your subconscious, you may need counselling to be able to deal with it.
Hope this helps!

Prayer is the key to all things my dear, let not your heart be troubled; neither let it be afraid. whenever you get scary nightmares pray against them in the name of Jesus, if they aren't scary still pray that they will go away from you if they makes you feel edgy, and always remember to say a prayer before you go to sleep. God Bless You.

It could possibly mean that you have people watching over you in some way. When you see the people in you dreams what facial expressions do they have, are they looking mean, nice, scary?

bedroom dreams have to do with safety and refuge..or sex. if you are scared in your dream then it can mean that you are feeling "unsafe in your daily life". its possibly emotional..
