Absolutely yes. And, so long as both are sincere, that love will be more special as they will have fallen in love with each other's personalities and who they truly are rather than being totally caught up in shallow things such as looks which fade, etc.

I think it is genuinly possible to develope feelings of love for someone whom you hae never met personally. If you have been talking and sending pictures, each of you have a general idea of what the other is like. I was once in a long distance relationship before, and not being able to reach out and touch him made my feelings for him grow stronger. When we finally got together, it was too much to handle. All of those behind the scenes feelings came into the light and it was explosive. So yes, I believe you can love someone whom you haven't been phisycal with, and that makes it that much better.

Certainly it can seem real because you've become acquainted with whomever they present themselves to be. One can easily be given a certain impression about someone, their personality, inner thoughts, sensitivities, humour, etc. But believe me when I say, that those points aren't real until you see them in action. I say this not from the point of view of needing to have a physical attraction, but simply because part of falling in love is a face to face interaction, developing a rapport. You will find that having many things in common (or whatever it is you find out about somene "on paper") may seem very real, but the truth is that there's no way to know how that feels until you actually experience it.
And on a purely scientific level, pheromones actually play a major role in falling in love and that's simply not something you can know until you've met and then it's still very subconscious.
The one thing that can happen is that you may fall in love with an idea and that may turn out to be an accurate idea, and that's great if that's the case! But you could be in love with this idea of who someone is, and that can take you only so far until reality comes into play and then you find out how your really feel. That's certainly been my experience.

Unfortunatly I do think its possible. I met someone from a different city once for 5 minutes, and got her number. I got to know her through the phone and the net. After a while I saw her, but I knew I loved her already, we were together for well over a year, but stuff happened that we couldn't be anymore unfortunately. Anyways I know its possible.

The physical and sexual attributes actually do play a large part in a relationship. If you are talking to this person on-line, you don't know who (or what) you are talking to. If you are 18 or older, insist on meeting this person in a public place. Preferably for lunch or dinner. That will make it possible for you to get feel for the person and their personality, whether you feel safe or not, and whether or not there is any real chemistry there. Good luck.

yes, it is possible. That is the reason they fell in love because they got to know each other for who they are and that is what's most important. Even though they have not met physically, they still both know who they are communicating with and they can meet any time. It happened to me too. We are still together and everything is just as exciting as when we first me. Whew!!!
