Yes, of course, Wish everyone else did too. So that when the cabin filled with smoke, the 90% of the plane that ignored the message caused panic and gridlock in the aisle so that the 10% of us who listened to emergency instructions have to die along with the idiots.

YES!

But have no doubt that this is usually after I have already read the card front to back, and counted the number of chairs that I have to climb over (people in them or not) to get to the emergency exit. I always count both frontward and backward, and look to see if there are empty seats, or perhaps elderly passengers or children that I might have to drag with my on my way to safety.

If it's a model of plane I have flown on often before (I fly about twice a month for work), I don't pay too much attention. If it's an aircraft that is less familiar to me, I do. I always count the seat rows to both forward and rear exits, though.

I find that nowadays, they really try to get your attention and I even had one flight attendant ask me to put down my book and listen! So now I am a good little girl and give them the ol' "I am hanging on your every word" stare. They aren't used to it. It freaks them out. A fun game to play.
