Due to the unrecognized or unadmmited Satanic influence in the various churches, money is worshipped in a higher degree than God or Jesus Christ is. Did you know there is a passage that says, "Give to your Father in secret"? I won't tell you where it is because I think you should look it up so you'll remember it. It is wrong to pass a collection plate around as it is a coercion to the congregation to put in money.
The Bible does not approve of fund raising by the church.

Giving money to the church is mandated and expected of its members. If the fund raiser is for the church to raise money, I am not sure. Jesus' riot with the money changers definitely shows that renting space to vendors is not cool.

Dunno. But I do know that the christians in the first century church met the needs of others by selling their property and presenting it to the church to be divided up. I do remember though that Jesus over turned the tables of merchants in the temple courts. In Matthew it says, "To those who sold doves he said, "Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father's house into a market!"
