I have been chatting with a girl online for a few months now, pretty much about everything and anything, last night she asked me if I'd like to "hook-up" with her for real, I totally freaked out and ended the conversation quickly, trying to avoid saying yes or no, I guess my question is has anybody "hooked-up" with someone they met online, if so was it bad, good, not sure, did something come of it? We are all adults so please only serious answers and you all know what "hook-up" means so no smart answers either.

First off you shouldn't just ignore her. If you get along really well chatting on-line then the next step is to talk on the phone. Then if things go good on the phone then yes "hook-up". You never know when your soul mate might be right there in front of you. Go for it!!!

Be prepared for disapointment. Actually just don't expect anything to go a certain way. Most people online creat an image of what they want others to see and not what they really are. And even further, we sometimes imagine them to be a certain way without a whole lot of evidence.

Just ask yourself ' If she is not nearly as cute or pretty as I thought, am still going to be interested?"

It is much more scary for a girl to meet a guy then vice versa.

I once arranged a meeting with a guy I met online, and it turned out that he was a wanted sex offender. This girl may be for real, but "she's" probably just another 40-something year-old pervert living in his parents basement.

i did once..it wasn't a bad thing but i was only 21 and wasn't ready for anything serious..if you like going out and having a good time with friends then go for it if it becomes something more well thats the plus..everyone should do it once!

online dating is the new "it thing" so i say go for it. (but only go if you are sure) but when you do don't go into thinkin that she is the one. b/c you never know. when you do hook up go somewhere very well lit, never meet her somewhere that is going to take you far out. and never leave her alone with any of your stuff (key, money, car, apart, etc) but when you start to feel her out then i stay your mind will know how to go from there.
good luck, and becareful

Yes I have before, and it was good for a while. It was no worse then a normal relationship, if you like the girl, go for it.

It might be best if you simply meet for coffee or dinner before you decide to "hook up."
