First, you have to answer yourself "what is a religion? And moreover - what is it`s purpose aka what does it serve for?"
Religion is the consequence of man`s spirituallity, that is a manifestation of the human psyche and ultimately human soul.
Religion is the holder of common ethics, worldview and perceptions. Religion if we have to generalise it even more, is the primal social system, long before there was democracy or other financially-based social systems.
That on the one hand.
On the other, let`s think about the perceptual subjectivity of the human psychology.
10 people looking at one object can see it at ten different angles, and each of the observers may claim that his view is the widest.
So, the different religions are like those ten observers. They all are describing the same object, with different terms.
Also, the formation of religions in the different regions of the world are shaped by the local myths, traditions, even environment.
Why should man believe in christianity not islam?
Why do people need religion to believe in God?
If God is one, as the dominant religions claim, then why don`t they unite under God`s Oneness?
Why is there hate? just to stand in opposition to Love, so not to brake the universal law of oppositoriums?!
Ah, you people, will you ever learn ?
"The world is in 3D, don`t be flat, see all of it."

The difference between Christianity and most major religions is that most religions teach you get to heaven by being good. The problem is how do you know when you have done enough? How do you know when your good deeds outweigh your bad deeds? How could anyone remember every good and bad thing they did and know for sure. Christianity teaches that man can't simply be good enough and that he has a sin nature to contend with. Jesus said that he came to die for men's sins. In the old testament the high priest would slay a sheep as a type of the sacrifice that was to come. The bible declares without the shedding of blood their is no remission from sin. Without the shedding of blood Satan had a legal right to claim men for their transgression against God. When Jesus came he declared he was the lamb of God who came to take away the sins of the world. Interestingly when Jesus died the Vail on the temple tore from top to bottom signifying God's presence leaving the temple and the end to the earthly sacrifices. It is good to be a good person for your own sake and to honour God but again this gives no assurance of salvation. It is believing that he is the son of God that he died for our sins and rose again is what Christians believe allow them in to Heaven.

Forgiveness and love. Remembering the commandment, "thou shalt not murder", regardless of what religion they are, or if they have a religion at all. Not killing everyone who doesn't believe like I do, nor killing innocent people over the words of one person. Not burning churches to show how non-violent we are. I really don't have enough time to keep on, but you get the drift.
Oh, and Blackacre, Deut. doesn't tell christians to do anything, there weren't any christians at the time Deut. was written. Deut. was to the Jews, right up there with all the Jewish laws.

We are warned by the words of Allah to the prophet Isaiah,
The Lord says: "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men. Isaiah 29:13 (NIV)
The prophet’s complaint was that the people approached Allah with glowing words of praise and adoration, but they had no use for Allah in their hearts. Muslims might heap praise on the names of the prophets, but they have no use for their writings. Judas kissed Jesus Christ as a sign of intimate friendship while betraying him to those who planned to crucify him. Muslim may kiss the names of the prophets, but they betray their real intent when they reject the writings of the ancient prophets and apostles.
How can the Muslims demand from others to respect Islam and their beliefs and their religious icons while the Qur’an commands the humiliation and the killing of non-Muslims for simply not embracing Islam as their religion, Sura 9:29?
God of Love vs. Allah of Hate

Jesus claimed to be God while on Earth. Islamics believe he was just a prophet. This cant be. If he was just a prophet than he would never have done anything wrong and the pharasies would not have sentenced him to death because he wouldnt have done anything wrong. Thats one point. Check out reasonstobelieve.org, or your own Bible.

Christianity is about the Messiah. There are over 275 prophesies in the Old Testament that Jesus fullfilled. Jesus talks about loving your neighbors and telling others of the Gospel.... not killing them if they don't believe like you. I would rather believe in a God that is loving. Just my opinion. Hope you find what you are looking for.

I can not prove any thing to you concerning God... no one of The True Christian Faith can prove God to you... only God can do that.... I can tell you that I know with absolute certainty that I am going to be in Heaven for all of eternity. And I know with the same certainty that no one, who is deceived by the evil that is islam will enter Heaven...
I know that only those who come to God in The Way He proscribes and receive His free gift of Salvation will become part of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head.
Only those of The Church will enter Heaven. All others, who reject God's Way, will be rejected by God.
I know this from God's promise to me in The Truth of my Salvation.

Christians believe murder is a sin. Islams believe murder of "infidels" will get them to heaven. And to Black Acre, The Ten Commandments clearly state "Thou Shall not Kill!." Try again.
