Until you mentioned the dog, I thought you were my wife. What kind of Pasta were you cooking?

I go through the same thing only my little girl is one, and just had 4 shots and my baby boy is 3 years old and has step throat so they are always crying wont let me put them dint and my husband is always late for dinner because he is to busy playing this game called guild wars on the computer or is out hunting. and know i need to have a drink only I have no friends here and my mom passed away 2 months ago so i really cant talk to her. I need a girls night out with women my age. i never get out of the house except for when I'm grocery shopping so at least your kids will settle down and you ll be able to have a meal WITH your hubby.

Hi i know how you feel we have 6 kids eldest 6 youngest 6 months it is always made in our house but nice and peaceful at 7pm when all in bed then you have all the house work to do like the washing school clothes dishes ironing babies bottles it never ends i go to bed at about 11.30pm then up again at 5.30am for school to get them all ready plus night time feeds but its worth it i love my kids to bits i get my rest when my husband has his day off i take kids to school then come home and go to bed leave him with baby and our youngest son and only get up when i wake why don't you do the same just say i need a rest and go to bed there his kids as well even if there not if he is with you so he has taken on being a dad if he does not like it kick him out your kids come first and you would not have to cook and clean for him so there would be less work for you good luck Hun.

Yep. I'm in the middle of redecorating the large front room - the carpet is rolled up into the middle so I can paint the skirting boards - I've made the kids tea but not had time to wash up so the sink is full - I still have to get their uniforms ready for school in the morning and get them to tidy up the mess they have made in their bedrooms before shoehorning them into bed. By the time I've finished most the work it will be after midnight. Family life, eh?

Some days just seem like you are treading water! barely keeping afloat!! I can relate!!!! But we must remember that all the crazy stuff is just part of life! someday we will wish we had all that back! when the kids are gone and they are off to college or out on their own! cherish this time. Maybe you can give them a little job to help out, like set the table or make the salad. Be patient, they won't stay that size long>

You are doing too much. Your husband should be cooking his bloody pasta for once. The girls, if they are old enough, should have an established bedtime routine.
And why have a dog in the house?

thats life think of your poor husband been to work all day, bet his nafed off aswell, if the children are old enough get them involved in making dinner, that will bring a lot of calm to the house...good luck thats what being a mum and house wife is all about, get the kids to bed open a bottle of wine and enjoy the evening...

Control, control, control...

I feel for you! When you are crying, do it in a nice, hot bath with some scented bath oils and perhaps a glass of red wine or hot tea.

After a good nights rest when you have a moment to yourself, come up with a good, workable schedule to put the family on and make them stick to it!

Good luck!
