I've just gotten in the habit of that. We found a church a few years ago that really got us plugged into a community setting. We have a small group that meets every week that is made up of anywhere from six to fourteen people and these people became the best friends we've ever had. They, of course, hugged us as we greeted or parted ways and often told us that they loved us. After a while I realized it was silly that I was willing to tell these friends that I loved them but not my own family. It wasn't that I didn't love my family, it just wasn't our way. I'm trying to make it our way. It makes life so much better.

I end every phone call with I love you. Not only to my wife but my Mom as well. I learned a long time ago that you never know when someone you love may not be around anymore.
I tell my son (only two weeks old today) all the time that I love him. You may think he doesn't know what I'm saying but I think differently. Never too early to start and never too late to say I love you to someone around who deserves it.

If you give then you will get. This is what I have learned from experience. I never would hear "I love you" from my mom or dad, but then I just started telling them that for years. Finally, this past weekend, my dad said to me without me saying it first. "I love you." It was the best.

From 2,000 miles away I tell Mom every day that I love her. It's gotten so that I can't let a day go by without telling her at least once - if not more.

I talk to my mom everyday and tell her and my step father I love them. I talk to my sis and tell her I love her. I never let a day go by that I do not tell them I love them, and sometimes I write my mother letters just to thank her for all she did.

My son knows I love him, I tell him at least twice a day. Everyday. He is the only family that matters to me now.

I DONT TELL ANY OF MY FAMILY MEMBER THAT I LOVE THEM, EVEN THOUGH I KNOW THAT I DO, I GUESS ITS BECAUSE OF THE WAY THAT I WAS BROUGHT UP. BUT I THINK IT IS A VERY GOOD HABIT TO CULIVATE AND WILL PASS THAT ON ONCE I START A FAMILY OF MY OWN.
