In Europe churches ( a place where God lives) are the biggest and most beautiful buildings. By contrast in America the largest and most beautiful buildings are industrial skyscrapers ( home of the Dollar),- American churches look like small huts in comparison. Doesn´t this quite literarily point out that Americans are hippocrats that say they care about God and spirituality while they really are the most progmatic and materialistic of all nations?
US citizens stand up for yourselves and prove me wrong!

Neither. God doesn't exist and money isn't all-mighty.

Um, and what do you think they used to pay for those churches in Europe? Granted they are older, but I'm betting the $$ equivalent is the same as our industrial buildings now. Considering when the European churches were done, they were done by the Wealthy... the Church was the wealthiest "industry" during that time... sometimes surpassing even the Kings and Queens. And the "Church" owned more of the Land than most kingdoms could actually claim... since it took over much of the rule of the fallen Roman Empire. the Church was the biggest industry, having more money than any other "industry" during that time.

And how does what our Gov't do make ALL Americans hippocrites? That's like saying all Germans are Nazi's cause Hitler was one. *Sigh* And for being the most materialistic... yes, that we most certainly are... but you say that as if we didn't work for what we have... granted big industry doesn't "work" for it's money... but Americans in general are Not Big Industry.

And I would have to disagree, America's most beautiful buildings are NOT our skyscrapers. We have several old churches that match European churches (one is a replica of Notre Dame in Covington, KY... not 5 minutes from where I work.), we also have some wonderful farm houses... as well as old colonial homes... the plantation homes in the south....

And, God lives in European churches??????? God's European now? LOL
Just where do you live anyway?

I think God is more concerned about us taking our money and feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting/helping the sick then he is about us making large monuments to him.

We are the temple of God. He is more concerned about how we treat each other then a temporary place on this earth looking good. He dwells in the heart and souls of his saints. Not in the timbers and glass of a building that will not follow him into eternity.

Also I want to add that the best church service I ever went to was in a cow pasture on haystacks out in the middle of a field in nowhere Texas. An old man pulled out a bow and a saw and played amazing grace so awesomely that I'm sure the Angles just awed how wonderful it sounded.

Great question. So many folks think they need lots of money for there kids, home, car etc...Most live week to week cause they have ran there credit cards up just so they can have what they want. People in the old days made it without all thats stuff and so could we. So in yes man does worship the all mighty dollar. We all are guilty of it.

god is more important,if like money more than god.you are not going to heaven ,what's the point of loving money more than god on the earth, but you're loosing the real happiness, the heaven.
in the bible it says about that man that had a lot of money and there was a poor man on his door, the poor man wanted to eat what's left of his worker's dishes, but the rich man didn't care for him, when they died the poor man went to heaven but the rich man went to hell

Money is power. You have the money you make the rules. Satan has stolen in darkness the money. My job is to take it back and give it to the Kingdom of Light, so they can distribute it to those that can do the best with it.
