They seem to help keep the teeth clean, so I'm reluctant to stop giving them out as a treat.

They like them more than their regular food for teh same reason that people like candy bars better than they like meatloaf. They're a treat, designed to be extra-tasty.

It's ok to give the kittens Greenies as treats, but make sure it's ONLY as a treat - not as a substitute for food. They need to be eating regular food to get all the nutrients they need to stay healthy.

It's important that your kittens eat their food! Kitten food for them until they are 1 year old. Kittens do not have a problem with keeping their teeth clean. They are eating them because they are probably hungry. Take Greenies away and give them kitten food. If you talk with your vet, he will tell you the same.

They're not addictive, because I feed them to my dogs. They like them, but they're not obsessed with them or anything. As long as your cats are still eating regular food, you can give them Greenies as a snack. I wouldn't give them more than one per day though, because they should be getting most of their calories from regular food.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out they lace Greenies with cocaine - every cat I know is bonkers for them! One of my client's cats climbed the pantry shelves to get to the unopened bag on the top shelf.

I don't know but my cat went nuts for them too. He lost interest towards the end of the bag though. They probably are tastier because they may not need all the nutrients of regular cat food. Sort of like junk food for us humans.

Greenies are bad!!!!! An animal can swallow a large piece and it can rehydreate in the intestine causing a blockage!!!!

Greenies are compressed vegtable fiber.

I don't know. I thought "greenies" were stay-awake pill military pilots used. Tell me more about this. I want my Stimpy to have the best of everything.
