My grandmother calls them the "horrible 3's" and I must agree. I have a 3 /12 year old daughter. She has gotten so sassy/a real fresh mouth. I find this difficult since I don't tolerate that type of behavior. It's gotten even worse since she started preschool (monkey see, monkey do!) I agree that the good times are better too. At this age, the imagination is really growing and she's been so much fun!

I completely agree!! My daughter didn't start talking back or fake crying, as if either one of those would work, until she was 3. Much worse than the terrible twos!!! But yes, the good times are better, too. More independent thoughts produce some pretty funny situations and reactions to new things.

Yes, I totally agree! I have a 3 1/2 year old. And she's way worse then the tantrums that my almost 2 year old throws. Because she knows enough to get into everything and try and talk her way into anything. I don't know why they can the 2's terrible, I think the 3's are way worse!

OMG yes! I have a three year old son, and two more three year olds in my in-home daycare (not to mention a two year old and my 6 Weeks old daughter). The three year olds are CrAzY! They can be very mouthy, wild and sometimes just plain bratty. It's a fun age in the sense that they talk in complete sentences and it's so fun to guess what kind of crazy story they will come up with next but man is it TRYING sometimes!

I agree completely! My little guy now throws the worst screaming tantrums and it's so frustrating! He has a great vocabulary so I don't think he's having trouble expressing himself but he just gets out of control at times. Seems to happen when he's waking up from a nap or when he really needs one. My other two boys weren't this bad but on the other hand maybe they were and I just blocked it out, LOL.
I agree that the good times are more fun then they used to be. It's fun to play Candyland and color with him.

I would have to agree with you. I mean, it's not bad..but I noticed he is now throwing really bad tantrums at times. I'm not going to say my son was an angel at 2, but he was good. Now he wants it all. I had a hard time keeping him from screaming about 20 minutes ago when he wanted me to pull toys out of a magazine.

Haha my mom said when I was 3 she called them the threatening 3s.
My daughter is almost 2, so i'm just getting to the terrible 2s. Its amazing what they will pick up on at this age, though. LoL
Good Luck!

I was always told that the terrible 2's start at 1 and end at 18. I truly believe this.
In other words, "It is always something"

I will always believe that the "fearsome fours" are as bad as it gets until they turn 11.... I have boys, and can't imagine what you have in store for you when your sweet lady reaches "the pre teenage attitude age"! My kids are really great, and what you say is true, each age has its rough parts, but also really enjoyable parts. As my guys grow up I am so glad to know them and feel very priviledged to be their mom. Really though, if you think 3's rough, brace yourself for 4!
