There seem to be a lot more school shootings than when I was in school. Since Columbine more kids seem to think this kind of thing is cool- I'm talking about those who do the copycat thing- not the well adjusted kids. The more it's reported it seems the more likely it will happen again.

Have a great day!!!

Absolutely...look at how many little girls now want to be and dress like Paris Hilton. A few years ago it was Brittany Spears. Think of how many little boys want to be football players or basketball stars. The media, and in turn society, puts these people up on silver platters and our kids see that and want to be there also. Another side of it, how many kids have eating disorders because they look at fashion magazines, or any magazine, and think that they have to look like the size 0 model. How many men look at women as object because thats how Maxim magazine and Playboy portrays them. I'm not some crazy liberal feminist I just have strong beliefs about how the media has influenced our lives and the lives of or children. How many people now drive Escalades? We're being brain washed to believe that more is better so buy in excess.
