Weight trainning and proper nutrition, in addition to cardio, is the only way to keep bone density strong. When in doubt take calcium supplements.

Certainly not. It is really good for the health in many ways, but for bone density, you need to take calcium, adequate amounts of vitamins and minerals.

Excercise is certainly vital to many aspects of health, but I'm not sure if bone density is one of them. I could be wrong, but it seems to me that bone density would depend a lot more on diet than activity level. Drink a lot of milk!

No. Cycling, like swimming, doesn't put any weight on your bones which is the only way to strengthen them. Also, bone density does decrease with age no matter what you do.

You need weight bearing exercise for your bones. Try walking, running, the treadmill or the eliptical trainer.
As well as calcium and Vitamin D.
