That is because cats have no butt cheeks.

And cat food is much smellier than dog food, therefore smellier when coming out the rear end.

Some are silent but deadly. Some are loud but deadly. All are deadly. Tehe x Anyway, yes, sometimes they are very audible, some are not. From experience, I've found that terriers and small dogs tend to fart more than other dogs. Just in case you wanted to know ! Lol x

I can tell you that when our cat lets one go you do not want to be within three miles, she breaks the sound barrier and you can always tell when she is about to let rip with a big one because with her the smell hits you first, and then watch out.
The dog legs it,Err-indoors puts in her ear plugs the kids start screaming and the cat always comes towards me I don't know why perhaps she is trying to get her own back on me,she has cost us a fortune on conservatory doors.
She always has that "well satisfied"look on her face whilst I rush to the loo to throw up.
So don't tell me you never hear them.

Well I must be the only one with a cat that's farts are louder than my dogs! When he was a little kitten, his stomach was distended, so when you picked him up and sqiushed him he'd fart quite loudly! Very amusing, but very stinky. I agree with the other people on here, the food they eat STINKS!

Actually, most of the dogs I've been around in my life also let out silent ones that sneak up on ya.

Couldn't resist this question! Well...it goes the same for humans too, the slient ones are always more potent than the audible ones, don't you think?

I think it's the cat food. I have a cat that can clear a room and make you gag! She is really, really nasty.
